Ebikagbaro (@ebikagboro) took to his official Twitter handle to make this known.
He tweeted: “Contrary to reports making the round, those of us leaving tonight we’re not ordered to leave Rio, rather we all chose to leave after. “Every one of us were paid all their allowances, reason Usman Chata, the equipment manager has decided to stay back. He is among those Not accredited for the Rio games, don’t want to join issues, but trying to state things the way they are, God bless Nigeria.”
Ebikagboro also gave update on Oghenekaro Etebo’s injury. He said: “On Etebo’s injury situation, the medics will come out with a decision on that later, it might be late though, for now it’s 50/50.”
Ebikagboro added: “Dream Team proposes to use white jerseys in Wednesday’s semi-final against Germany, so for now that’s the colour come Wednesday.
Going by the rules, if Mikel picks a yellow card tomorrow, he will be available for the finals, all cards gotten in the q-finals have been cancelled, so it’s only Azubuike that will be missing the s-final like he did last year in Senegal, God bless the Dream Team.”
Etebo has scored four goals at the Rio Olympics men’s football competition. He will be hoping to make a return against Germany in the match billed to hold at Sao Paulo.
