3 Days to TechDev Summit – Meet Our Speakers


It’s just  3 days to the maiden edition of the TechDev Summit in Enugu.

The 2-day event tagged “Innovate, Transform, Connect”, will hold on the 6th and 7th December, 2016 at the Dome Event Centre, New Haven.

Abdur-Raheem Adebayo Shittu:

Adebayo Shittu is the Minister of Communication Technology. Prior to his ministerial nomination, he was a member of the Oyo State house of assembly between October 1979 and September 1983.He became the youngest ever member of the Oyo State house of assembly at the age of 26. During the Olunloyo administration, Barr. Adebayo Shittu was the Oyo State commissioner for information, culture and home affairs between October and December 1983. He was appointed as the attorney general and commissioner for justice in Oyo State under the Ladoja administration. Barr. Adebayo Shittu was a member of the National Political Reforms Conference in 2005. He has a degree in Law (LL.B) from the University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife.

Dr Ernest Ndukwe:

Dr Ernest Ndukwe is a professional Telecommunications Engineer, Corporate Executive, Entrepreneur and Business Management Trainer with over 38 years of international experience in business management and in the telecommunications industry, majority of which have been in C-Level positions in private multi-national companies and in government Telecom Policy & Regulation.
Dr Ndukwe is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management (FNIM) and Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering, FAEng. He is author of several papers on Utility Regulation/Sector Policy and business management. Engineer Ndukwe has represented Nigeria at various international events and is a regular resource person at local and international conferences and events
He was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Nigeria’s Telecommunications Regulatory Agency by the President in 2000 and proceeded to preside over the building of an internationally respected institution. Under his tenure at the NCC, the ICT industry witnessed tremendous growth and transformation, leading to what has been generally referred to as the era of Nigeria’s Telecommunication Revolution.
Prior to his appointment to the NCC, Dr Ndukwe was the MD/CEO of General Telecom Plc and had held several senior and top level Executive positions in leading multinational telecommunications companies. He is also a Vice Chairman of the ITU Telecom Development Advisory Group (TDAG) representing Nigeria.
Dr Ndukwe is currently Chairman of Openmedia Group as well as a part time Faculty at the Lagos Business School where he also heads the Centre for Infrastructure Policy, Regulation and Advancement, CIPRA. He had previously served as Co-chairman of the Presidential Committee to develop Strategy and Roadmap for universal Broadband Access for Nigeria and he currently serves on the National Broadband Council as Vice Chairman, with the Minister of Communications Technology as Chairman.

He will chair the 2016 TechDev Summit in Enugu.

Chinenye Mba-Uzoukwu:

Successful entrepreneur with proven ability to lead teams to grow revenues and market share through innovation and people leadership, Chinenye Mba-Uzoukwu is the founding Managing Director/CEO of multiple-award winning technology solutions provider, InfoGraphics Nigeria. A notable consultant to public and private sector on corporate IT and technology ecosystem strategy with focus on value ideation, innovation and impact investing, he has almost 30 years of an eclectic career spanning marketing communications, digital design, strategy, change/transformation and software development in private and public sectors. In addition to his entrepreneurial activity, he also worked in Microsoft Corporation as General Manager (Anglophone West Africa) overseeing 7 country portfolios as a member of the Microsoft EMEA executive management team. He left Microsoft in 2007 to pursue his vision of a borderless Africa as Managing Partner of the technology strategy consulting and project management firm, GrandCentral, currently managing a project portfolio valued at over $5 million, including critical public sector technology infrastructure in Public Accounts.
InfoGraphics’s work under Chinenye’s watch has seen him leading strategy, solutions architecting and delivery in Financial Services, Manufacturing, General Services, Retail and Telecommunications in over 40 enterprise software integration projects.

He will be speaking on DEVELOPING A UNIQUE CULTURE OF INNOVATION at the TechDev Summit.

Chief Leo Stan Ekeh:

Chief Leo-Stan Nnamdi Ekeh, FNCS OFR, serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Zinox Technologies Ltd and Buyright Africa Dotcom Limited. Mr. Ekeh founded TaskDirect Limited in 1987. Stan Ekeh, a first rate Indian trained economist and risk Manager, was honoured as an ICON of Hope by President Olusegun Obasanjo in  October 1st, 2002 for his sustained pioneering effort in the area of Information technology and also as a pride to modern Nigeria. He has a record of incisive entrepreneurship and his vision to computerize Nigeria has reshaped the history of information Technology in the Third World. He pioneered Desktop publishing and Computer graphics in Nigeria with Task Systems Ltd in 1989. He also pioneered ICT products distributions in West Africa with – Technology Distributions Ltd – which is the No.1 ICT distribution company in Sub Saharan Africa. He pioneered the First Nigerian Internationally certified Computer brand, Zinox Computer, and recently SUPER WIFI with the launch of Zinox Telecom amongst other pioneering efforts He known for leading a team that delivered the largest single ICT project in Nigeria within a record time has earned several awards for his industry few of which are, Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic, OFR; Fellow Nigeria Computer Society, FNCS; Fellowship of NPAN; Distinguished Fellow of the Nigeria Law School; Life Membership of the Institute of International Affairs; over 15 Honorary fellowship awards from Federal and State Polytechnics. He hold Doctor of Business Administration (Honoris Causa) Imo State University, Doctor of Technology (Honoris Causa) Federal University of Technology, Owerri; Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi etc. Mr. Ekeh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Punjab University, India, and a Post Graduate Degree in Risk Management from Nottingham University, England.

He will deliver a paper on DEVELOPING AN ICT ROADMAP at the TechDev Summit.

Chioma Agwuegbo:

Founder of TechHerNG, Chioma is a social media strategist and founding partner at CC Consulting Services. She’s worked as a duty continuity announcer and presenter on radio, and as a researcher, scriptwriter and producer of the award winning radio drama “Story Story” for the BBC Media Action in Nigeria. Chioma has a Masters in Social Media from Birmingham City University, and has consulted with MTV Staying Alive Foundation on Shuga, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), trained producers at BBC Media Action, amongst others. She is Founding Editor at YNaija2015, and channels her intrigue for communication, citizen engagement and how it influences governance into all her projects.

Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata Jnr “CFA”:

CFA co-produces and presents Tech Trends, a weekly Tech show on Channels Television (www.CFA.ng/tv) and writes the ICT Clinic column, published weekly in the Sunday Punch (www.CFA.ng/punch) as well as Tech on Wheels, a nationally syndicated radio show airing across multiple states (www.CFA.ng/radio).

CFA is the Founder of TechSmart.ng, a tech blog that covers everything tech. CFA also blogs @ http://www.CFA.ng besides being an active member and contributor on social media, with thousands of loyal followers across major social networking platforms. He is also a member of several local and international organisations. His book titled “Powering your Business on the Internet and Social Media – A Guide for Today’s Business Owner” has enjoyed a favourable review by industry experts. This book is the result of many years of experience as a business blogger and Internet consultant.
